Amongst these, visit the well-preserved Harrana Castle, Amra Palace and the imposing Azraq Castle.

After breakfast, transfer to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East. Continue to Ajloun in the highlands, and explore the 12th-century Ajloun Castle, a fortress built to ward off the Crusader armies at the vital trade and pilgrimage intersection between Jerusalem, Cairo, Damascus, and Mecca. Roam the ramparts and enjoy the sweeping views over the Levant.
Head to the ancient site of Umm Qais, a beautiful city overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan Valley that was founded by the Ancient Greeks and later settled by the Romans. The site was widely believed by Christians to be where Jesus performed the Miracle of the Gadarene Swine. Step back in time as you stroll column-flanked streets and take in the far-reaching views.
Evening at leisure and overnight in Amman.

Breakfast in hotel, and head south to Madaba. Check out the spectacular Madaba Map, the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Land. Follow his footsteps and look out at the Dead Sea and beyond, before eventually making your way to the Memorial Church of Moses which now houses excavated relics from the region.
Carry on south along the King's Highway to visit the impressive Kerak Castle. Exploring the fortress-like structure and experience the vaulted halls and passageways typical of the era, a remarkable insight into the architectural and military prowess of the Crusaders.

Today you'll explore Jordan's beloved archeological treasure: the lost city of Petra, and one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Enter through the Siq, a dramatically narrow gorge flanked by towering cliffs, and spend the day wandering at leisure through Petra's seemingly endless temples, tombs, and colonnaded streets.
Pay a visit to the grand Qasr al-Bint temple, or if you're feeling adventurous, climb up the 800 steps to the Monastery, Petra's largest and lesser-visited monument. Navigate the impressive water conduit system of the historic city, or hike to the top of Jabal al-Khubtha for a stunning view overlooking the Treasury.
After getting your fill of Petra, continue south into the wilderness of Wadi Rum, an expanse of desert dubbed the "Valley of the Moon". Along the two-hour drive, you'll pass through red valleys, rock canyons, and dunes to reach a Bedouin-style camp, your accommodation for the night.
