In the afternoon, visit Vat Mai Temple, the residence of a Buddhist patriarch until 1975. Then, ascend Phousi Hill for an outstanding view of the former royal capital and the Mekong River.
Afterwards, proceed to Vat Phabaht Tai, a serene Buddhist temple located along the Mekong River and enjoy the sunset. Spend some time strolling through the H'Mong Market, a night market central for local artisans to sell their goods such as embroidery, handicrafts, jewelry and so on.

Breakfast in hotel and transfer to Nuwara Eliya, also known as 'Little England'. Once the favoured cool-climate escape for the English After breakfast, board a 2-hour traditional riverboat cruise up the Mekong River to Pak Ou. Upon arrival, explore the sacred caves of Tham Ting (lower cave) and Tham Phoum (upper cave), and is home to thousands of Buddha statues.
Along the way, visit Xang Hai Village, known for its sticky rice whiskey production, a homemade alcohol integral to Lao culture and used in important blessing ceremonies like weddings. Continue by road to Ban Xang Khong, another village nearby, also known as the 'Paper Village'. Here, one can catch a glimpse of how paper products are made from mulberry tree bark.
Return to hotel and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Breakfast in hotel and set off on an excursion to the picturesque Khouangsy Falls. Admire the three-tier waterfall with its striking turquoise-blue pools, nestled in lush rainforest.
Afterwards, return to Luang Prabang and visit the National Museum (formerly the Royal Palace) and see its collection of personal artifacts of the Lao Royal Family. Finally, visit Vat Xieng Thong, regarded as the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang with low sweeping roofs.
Return to hotel and overnight in Luang Prabang.
