After breakfast, spend a full day touring Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Start at Ho Phrakeo, home to the Emerald Buddha, one of Lao’s most sacred Buddhist relics. Stop by Vat Sisaket, also known as the Buddha Museum as it has over 10,000 buddha statues in niches.
Continue to Talat Sao, a morning market in the heart of the city. A popular destination for locals and tourists alike, one can find goods ranging from fresh produce and street food to handicrafts and souvenirs. Proceed to the nearby Patouxai, dedicated to those who fought in the struggle for independence from France.
In the afternoon, see Pha That Luang, a 45-meter tall gold-covered Buddhist stupa, before heading to the Xieng Khouane Buddha Park. The park is a captivating sight, adorned with numerous Buddha statues in various poses and sizes, some reaching up to 25 meters in height.
Return to hotel and overnight in Vientiane.

Breakfast in hotel and drive towards Vang Vieng [approx. 130km // 3hr drive].
Along the way, visit a minority market, where ethnic groups like Hmong and other tribes come to sell their products.
Vang Vieng is famous for its stunning limestone mountains. After arriving in the afternoon, take a short climb up to visit some of these limestone Tham cave formations. Take the opportunity to enjoy the stunning views over the valley.

Today, depart for Luang Prabang on a leisurely drive through an astonishing landscape of limestone karst. Visit a few villages enroute.
Check in to hotel upon arrival and overnight in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, visit Vat Xieng Thong, regarded as the most beautiful temple in Luang Prabang with low sweeping roofs.
Next, board a 2-hour traditional riverboat cruise up the Mekong River to Pak Ou. Upon arrival, explore the sacred caves of Tham Ting (lower cave) and Tham Phoum (upper cave), and is home to thousands of Buddha statues.
Along the way, visit Xang Hai Village, known for its sticky rice whiskey production, a homemade alcohol integral to Lao culture and used in important blessing ceremonies like weddings. Continue by road to Ban Xang Khong, another village nearby, also known as the 'Paper Village'. Here, one can catch a glimpse of how paper products are made from mulberry tree bark.
Return to hotel and overnight in Luang Prabang.

Breakfast in hotel and set off on an excursion to the picturesque Khouangsy Falls. Admire the three-tier waterfall with its striking turquoise-blue pools, nestled in lush rainforest. Visit some hill tribe villages along the way.
Afterwards, return to Luang Prabang and visit the National Museum (formerly the Royal Palace) and see its collection of personal artifacts of the Lao Royal Family. Continue to Vat Mai Temple, the residence of a Buddhist patriarch until 1975. Finally, ascend Phousi Hill for an outstanding view of the former royal capital and the Mekong River.
